Trails
The trails here on this website are hiking trails that are found all throughout Ga. These trails range from scenic trails at state park that are short one day trips, from back country trails that are multiple day trips. Each of the pictures shows one of the trails in Georgia. This is the starting point of the Appalachian Trail, Springer Mt. Ga. and ending at Mt. Katahdin Maine. This Trail is 2,200 miles long, and is for the more experienced hiker. The AT runs through 14 states; Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecitcut, Massachusetts, vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
The Arkaquah trail is a 5.5 mile hiking trail that take you to the summit of Brasstown Bald, the highest mountain in Georgia.
Bear Creek Trail is located in the Chattahoochee National Forest. This trail takes you by the second largest tree in the state, The Gennett Poplar.
This 8 to 12 mile hike, depending on the route taken, is located in Ga.'s newest state park, Chattahoochee Bend State Park. The trail is rated an easy to moderate hike that displays the natural beauty of the Chattahoochee River.
Cloudland Canyon State Park has over twenty four miles of hiking trails, from a six and a half mile back country loop to two, two mile scenic trails.
Tallulah Gorge State Park has about twenty five miles of hiking trails, ranging from scenic trails that loop the gorge to back country trails that are more strenuous.
